He who believes and is baptized will be saved,

crosses1.jpg Bennett, Cody, and Trey

“For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.” Galatians 3:26-27

Bennett and two of his friends today were baptized and went in front of the church publicly announcing their acceptance of Jesus into their life/heart. They have been going to confirmation class for the last four months. Bennett wants to be emerged so he will be baptized in my Mom/Dad’s pond in early summer. What a proud/joyful moment for us! Praise be to God! God has blessed Bennett with high counts and he felt good for his confirmation ceremony!

“Therefore go and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” Matthew 28:19

THE BIBLE says: 1. All have sinned – Not all saved. 2. All must face God in judgement – Not all go to heaven. 3. Christ died for all & Christ invites all – Not all say “yes”. 4. The Bible says“Whosoever believes and calls on His Name will be saved”, Romans 10: 13.

In church we sang one of my favorite hymn’s as it is a great testament of God’s love.

I heard about his healing, of his cleansing power revealing, how he made the lame to walk again and caused the blind to see; and than I cried, “Dear Jesus, come and heal my broken spirit,” and some-how Jesus came and brought to me the vic-to-ry!  We have VICTORY IN JESUS today!

I Am Thankful

One of Bennett’s homework assignments was to write about what he was thankful for. I am assuming this was assignment around the Thanksgiving holiday. Bennett completed this last week during study hall by himself and showed it to me today.

I am thankful for having food. It keeps me full of energy.

I am thankful for my Dad. He teaches me stuff about hunting.

I am thankful for having friends. They care about me and hang out with me.

I am thankful for having school. It teaches me things I need to know to get a good job.

I am thankful for having a family. Some people don’t have a family.

I am thankful for having clothes. Clothes keep me warm.

I am thankful for having stores. Because I would have to work for food if we did not have them.

I am thankful for having a house to live in. It keeps me safe when it storms.

I am thankful for having money. If I did not have money, I would have nothing.

I am thankful for having computers. Computers give me information.

I am thankful for having holidays. Having holidays give me and my family fun.

I am thankful for having sports. Sports keep me in shape.

I am thankful for having dogs. When I shoot birds they go and get them for me.

I am thankful for having doctors. If we did not have doctors, I would not be alive.

I am thankful for having a good mom. She takes care of me when I’m sick.

I am thankful for having good teachers. If I did not have teachers, I would not learn the things I need to know for a job.

I am thankful for having deer.  I have fun shooting them.

I am thankful for having health. Being healthy is good for you, and you can live a better life.

I am thankful for study hall. If I did not have one I would not have my homework done.

I am thankful for having a tooth brush. I would have yellow teeth, smelly breathe and so would every one.

What a Miracle!  I had been meaning to post this pic of Bennett and Brittani from a couple months ago when she came to over to spend some time with Bennett – Finally they are both home and don’t have to visit each other in the hospital!   It had been a long summer with her lung transplant and a blessing that God answered many prayers! We are so happy that she is home, going to school and enjoying life!  We love you Brit!

“The LORD has done great things for us, and we are glad.” Psalm 126:3

Make the most of each day!

I ran across this and really liked it! I could really relate – especially with the banking example! LOL

A bank credits your account each morning with $86,400. It carries over 0 dollars to the next day. Every evening you lose the balance you failed to use during the day. What would you do?

Withdraw and spend every cent, of course!

Each one of us has such a bank. It’s name is TIME. Every morning, it credits you with 86,400 seconds. Every night it writes off what you have failed to invest. If you fail to use the day’s deposits, the loss is yours. There is no going back.

Invest in every second towards improving health, happiness, relationships, success and your faith! The clock is running. Make the most of life today!

Treasure every moment! Yesterday is history! Tomorrow is a mystery…….. Today is a gift! That’s why it’s called the present!

I think it’s amazing that so many people have shown their support for you Bennett. I truly believe you inspire people to be thankful for what they have, and not be bothered by things that don’t really matter. Thank you for your strength.

A True Blessing from God!

What miracles God can do!

Brittani seemed so happy today! Her breathing has improved so much from a couple of weeks ago! She looked so beautiful!

I was impressed when I congratulated her on walking from her bed to her door, she said yes normally lung transplant patients don’t walk this soon, I am pushing myself! I told her this is the “Benton cheerleader” coming out in her!

A true fighter! If you are ever feeling sorry for yourself or think you have had a bad day, think of Brittani!

If you haven’t already, please be an organ donor! Remember to sign the back of your driver’s license! You can give the gift of life too! Thanks to Brittani’s donor and family!

Philippians 1:6

“There has never been the slightest doubt in my mind that the God who started this great work in you, would keep at it and bring it to a flourishing finish…”

Philippians 1:6

Thank you God, for teaching us to remain, to endure,

and in the end to finish.

Cancer Buddies

Thanks Mackenzie for stopping today to see Bennett and me to lend your support. It’s weird and neat that you have the same type of leukemia. You were so helpful. You have so much knowledge that we will use to help us through this battle. I hope we can help you! You are a tough young lady! We just officially met you but you are already very special to us!

Love Cindy and Bennett

Jeremiah & Isaiah

Thanks to Lori for reminding us of a verse that Bennett read in church a few years ago. This verse lifted both Bennett’s and I faith and spirits.

“For I know the plans I have for you, ” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” -Jeremiah 29:11-13

Thanks to Lindsay for sharing the verse from Isaiah on Bennett’s card. This touched our hearts to hear a scripture from the book of Isaiah which is also a very special baby to me and Bennett.

“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”  – Isaiah 40:30
