On the hunting trip at Pioneer Outfitters in Alaska, we met Mike Stroff and Randy that are with Southern Outdoor Experience located in Texas. They have a hunting TV show on the outdoor channel and sports channel. They air Monday nights at 9:30. Randy is the camera man and he video taped Mike hunting for a grizzly bear and dull sheep while we were there. It was really cool meeting them. You can visit their website at southernoutdoorexperience.com.
They did a taping of Bennett talking about his moose hunt that may air in the spring along with Mike’s hunting adventure of his bear & sheep. They also took a picture of all of us below that is on their website under photos. Pretty neat!

Bennett, Grandpa and I went fishing for about an hour and half this afternoon. We caught a good mess; some pretty good size bluegill. Bennett started fishing for catfish and he caught two nice size ones. The sun was out and it was a beautiful day!

Bennett is doing good. Actually he is doing great considering. I thought he would be extremely worn out today from all the walking at the Monster Jam but he’s not.
The boys had a blast at the Monster Jam! It was SO Sweet! We thought it was really cool! Our friend, Ryan/ family that we have met from SLCH live in Paxton, IL and was very thoughtful to give us tickets. Thanks Michele! The driver Tom Meents, Maximum Destruction lives in Paxton too. We were able to meet him after the show and also George Balhan, the driver of the Escalade. Below are a few pics of the fun night! Please say an extra prayer for Ryan as he was admitted Friday to the hospital again. It’s saddens us that he has had such a rough time.

Bennett went duck hunting this morning with Bob and friends. They hunted from sunrise to early afternoon. He was so glad he got to go as the last trips were canceled because it was way too cold and than he got sick. Bennett got 2 1/2 ducks, he had help with the other 1/2. He had a great time; It was a beautiful sunny day! Thanks for taking him Bob!

Bennett had a good rabbit hunt today. He went with his grandpa J., cousin Gordan, Hamilton and me. Bennett shot 3 different times and got 2 rabbits! Not bad for his first time rabbit hunting! We went with the best rabbit dogs in the world from Johnston’s Beagle Farm in Macedonia, IL!
I pulled out last year’s pictures of our deer hunting and camping adventure. Bennett got a doe and buck last year. The buck had a small six point rack. He was really excited and happy with it. Hoping Bennett gets a trophy buck this year! This was my favorite picture!

Bob took these pictures Saturday and Bennett wanted me to post them on the website. They captured of how much fun he had that day!
