Bennett is doing worse. His cough last night was uncontrollable, it seems it has been like this the last few nights at bed time. We tried every home remedy we knew of last night. We gave him warm honey to swallow, put vicks vapor rub on his feet and chest, used vicks in his humidifier, took cough medicine, and used cough drops. Finally he fell asleep, he has still been coughing today.

His ANC today was 3,848 with 5.2 WBC and 74 neutrophils. We believe these are elevated because of him being sick. We figured that might of been the case because last time his ANC was this high was when he was sick on January 10th.

His hemoglobin was 12.4 and platelets at 216! Very good! Also his liver levels were low, Amen!

I called his pediatrician today, and he prescribed him tussionex cough syrup. We pray this will do the trick. He still has been taking his antibiotic too. He is struggling to go to school but we feel it’s important to go unless he just can’t because of being completely miserable. I’m proud of him for going each day when I know he doesn’t feel good.

He will have counts checked again next Monday because if he is well and his ANC continues to be this high than his Dr. will want to increase his chemo again. It was just increased two weeks ago and this is the first blood test so we’ll see.
