July 22nd update

Bennett is doing good.  He rested most of the morning since we got home late from the ball game.  Him and Hamilton played some this afternoon.  He had a ball game tonight for the region tournament in Carbondale.  We won by 2 runs against Carbondale.  Bennett batted once and struck out.  He really does the best in the field.  We play Thursday night at 8 p.m. against Mt Vernon; this will be a tough game.

Bennett’s ankle hasn’t bothered him at all.  We are so thankful; it is doing great!  We go in the morning to our local hospital to check his ANC.  I’m not sure what number to hope for.  We are praying for God’s presence in his life, getting him through these low counts, and keeping him healthy.

“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God — what is good and acceptable and perfect.” Romans 12:2

That’s great that Bennett’s ankle is not bothering him. We pray for God to be close to Bennett during this time, too, and to comfort him (and you, Cindy) during these trials. It’s amazing how much you can feel God’s presence when you spend much time in prayer with Him, isn’t it? Have a good time at the ballgame Thursday!
