December 31st update

Praise God! We all are thanking and praising the heavenly father; The Almighty! Bennett’s ANC today was 874! WOW! Yes!; From 319 on Friday and in 3 days it raised up to over the dangerous level of 500! This was a long hard rode for us around the holidays. We understand that it could of been worse and we are thanking God that it wasn’t. But your mind can’t help wondering and the devil plays on that too where I was getting scared. Very scared.
His hemoglobin is up to at 11.5, Yeah! Normal range is 12.5-16.1. Hemoglobin controls your oxygen level which when it is higher, it helps him to breathe and be more active. Platelets were at 393! Very good!
Since his ANC is over 750, his primary Dr. wants to do his treatment this Wednesday. He will have a spinal tap with methotrexate injected into his spine and he will also have a dose of methotrexate and vincristine administered through his port.
He will not be able to go to school until his ANC is over 1,000. An ANC between 500 to 1,000 is a slight chance of infection and can become severe.
Bennett went to a friends house tonight to celebrate the New Year! We are so happy, this is the first time he has been out of the house with a friend for 3 or more weeks.
