March 27th update

We received the results back from Bennett’s blood test today from Good Sam’s in Mt Vernon. His platelet count is good at 110. White blood cells is at 0.9 with ANC at 171. This is the lowest ANC he has had since he has been diagnosed. This is a crucial level and a significant chance of him getting an infection since he has very few white blood cells to fight off infection. His hemoglobin today was 7.9 which on Friday it was 6.8 but than received a RBC 1 unit transfusion so we thought it would be higher. The normal range for hemoglobin is 11-13. We will be going to SLCH in the morning leaving at 6:00 a.m. to receive 2 units of RBC because of his hemoglobin being low. The transfusion takes 2 hours per unit so after his blood test and seeing the doctor we are expected to be at the hospital for 6 hours or so.

He has to take it easy the rest of today and not get out because his ANC is so low plus his hemoglobin (carries oxygen) is low. I am checking his temperature periodically to make sure he doesn’t have a fever which is the first sign of infection.

“Your love, O Lord, reaches to the heavens, Your faithfulness to the skies.” Psalm 35:5

May we find assurance today in the boundless love of the Lord.

Hey, I just wanted to leave you a message. I hope you start feeling better. I am still praying for you. We have been starting track. It isn’t to fun.LOL. I just wish you were there running with me. I miss you alot. I hope everything gets better. I heard that you haven’t been feeling well. As you might already know, the volleyball team is going to state, they are playing on saturday against Duqoin. It is kinda weird because they are having the whole tournament on one day. They are having a pep session tomorrow. They are playing the teachers.(They should win) LOL Well yesterday Denni and Zoie got in a fight. It was really funny, Mrs.Bethel was trying to hold Zoie back and she kinda hit her in the face. Then they were on the ground pulling each others hair. Well it is getting late so i better go to bed before i get in trouble.LOL.I will keep praying for you,i always will be. I have never stopped. I will talk to you later. Bye

Tyler and Brock, thanks for keeping a close eye on Bennett and your comments. He may not feel like pulling up his website and reading them all the time but I tell him about them. Hopefully soon Bennett will feel better and each of you could come over sometime.
    Thanks for your support.

    Sid,Cindy,Bennett,and Hamilton,

Just wanted you to know that I am thinking of you. I hope all went well today.

    Bennett,

I ordered the bracelets a couple days ago. They are going to be soooo cool! You did a good job picking them out. The guy on the phone even said how good he thought they were going to look. Get to feeling better, buddy!
